Orange Sunset- Quilled Landscape Picture Art

I always wanted to try blending colors in my quilled landscapes and I'm really happy with the result. I have used 3mm strips if 111/2 inches to make the quills.  For the water I used zig-zag quills.blending was done by using a dark and light shade strip to quill the loose coil. Use the same technique for mixing colors as with pencil colors. To lighten do not use white, rather use a lighter shade if the same color family.

Petals and Swirls - Quilled Fowers

I have used two of my own creations on this quilled flower frame. I have been wanting to discover my own technique for some time now and I also wanted to bring out the striped look of real flower petals and I think it turned out great.

I used a comb to make the leaves . I have posted a tutorial here. I used strips of green and yellow combined for some of the leaves to get the maturing leaf effect.

Quilled paper heart ... inimioare de hartie

                 Pentru aceste inimioare , mi-a venit ideea vazand o frumoasa bijuterie de argint care mi-a placut enorm.  Si cum mai aveam cateva pietre de bijuterii, m-am gandit ca n-ar fi rau sa fac ceva interesant. Mi-a placut enorm sa  le lucrez si am de gand sa  le fac in mai multe culori. Sper sa va placa si voua. Astept parerile voastre.

 Asa cum am promis, am revenit cu poze .Un strop de culoare in fiecare inimioara.

A Lion Share of Love- Quilled Cartoon Landscape Picture

I have used my usual landscape picture quilling techniques to quill this cartoon   (check my tutorial if you haven't already) created by  Cheerful Madness.

I love the way the eyes turned out and am so glad I was able to bring out the innocence of the characters doing justice to the creator of the cartoon who's work is really  fabulous.



I did not want to put plastic eyes as it seems like cheating to me. I wanted to be true to quilling!! No short cuts for me. I combined tight coils and zig-zag basic techniques to get the shape of the eyes.




Once I got the shape of the eyes, I encircled the eyes in black and used the end of the strip to create the lashes by folding it and pasting it together.

The rest is the usual. I have used zig zag basic for the mane and  tail.  Regular loose coils for the face and loose coils encircled in a darker shade for the body. The direction in which you paste the coils is important if you want to give the impression of depth to your work.

I have used honeycomb oblong shapes to form the earthy patches and for the grass I used the leafy grass shape which I used in the waterfall landscape.

Abstract

        Nu stiu daca se potriveste titlul, dar azi sunt putin confuza si nu-mi gasesc cuvintele. Am ales sa renunt la floricele si sa dau o alta nota bijuteriilor mele. Patratele, cerculete si gama de culori, atat am vrut. Ceva care sa fie feminin, dragut si sa placa vizual. Sper sa va placa si voua!
        O duminica placuta tuturor!

Black & White

           Alb si negru sunt culorile care merg asortate  cu multe alte nuante.  Am ales  doua bijuterii simple,  pe care le puteti asorta la tinutele voastre de vara, de zi sau de seara. Hartia din care sunt facute este de 130 gr cea neagra si ceva mai subtire cea alba ( nu stiu exact gramajul ) . Petalele le-am lucrat pe un creion obisnuit. Mi s-au parut micute si simple asa ca le-am adaugat cateva perle, cu toate ca , daca stau bine sa ma gandesc erau foarte frumoase si  simple.

Lilly Bee - Quilled 3d Flowers

Well here it is. My experimentation with bells. I made these flowers while figuring out how to make the fuchsia.
I think I can improve on the bee though.
